Powerful yet approachable
The pure vocals found in The NYC Sessions are unmatched in the 21st century. Moi cleverly balances his classical training and life-long experience with his coveted talent of foreseeing the industry trends of upcoming years. If you don't appreciate this EP, you will next year. Those of us who were blown away by his previous albums were left shaking our heads in disbelief at the notes that Moi forces into submission in Listen to Love. The only con to these songs is that you are left begging for more. The listener is helplessly dragged into Moi's passionate lyrics as he laments sitting on his "fat lazy mind" in Shadows of Tomorrow. Hopefully, the industry will soon release the dreadful hole in a billboard chart without this timeless classic in the top 10.
It's Good!
I really like these songs, but I liked them a lot better with just Mr. Navarro playing solo. But still, the music is great! It seems like I've been waiting forever for this album to finally come out and it totally surpasses my expectations. Moi's music is, ugh, I don't know how to describe it other than you can just feel the passion flowing through your speakers! The only cons are that some of the songs are just remakes from a few years ago, and I dont think anyone really wants to have two versions of the same songs. My favorites are Counterfeit Beauty and I'm Sorry. Buy them!
