O-Omarion

Fresh off of B2K's breakup, Omarion went solo with his debut O. I Wish: Cornaboyz production is uptempo and a great introduction as Omarion's catchy hook is fitting with energy. 3.5/5 Touch: Good production, at times during the verses his voice didn't fit, but the hook is nicely done. 3.5/5 O: Slow piano and beat, it builds and builds until the bridge. Great chorus that was really beautiful and nicely done, a great track and single. 4.5/5 I'm Tryna: Decent production, Omarion sounds good on this. 3.5/5 Drop That Heater: Heavy drums and uptempo track, it doesn't work well, will get you dancing but not cause of Omarion's voice. 3/5 Growing Pains: Production was decent, track wasn't too memorable. 2.5/5 Take It Off: Club oriented track that had a tiresome beat, a little more raunchy compared to the audience he served while with B2K. MIla J. has some explicit lyrics also. 2/5 Never Gonna Let You Go (She's A Keepa): Nice horns that go with a feel good hook, Big Boi drops a solid verse. 4/5 I Know: Decent track, nothing great. 3/5 I'm Gon Change: Slow track, it wasn't that good, sounding similar to other tracks. 2.5/5 In The Dark: Slow jam, that was just decent. 2.5/5 Slow Dancin: Slow jam that is perfect to dance with a boyfriend or girlfriend. Nice track that is nicely done. 3.5/5 Fiening You: Skipper. 2/5 O (hip hop remix): Nothing great, nice bonus. Omarion's debut is filled with slow tracks and then really uptempo dance oriented. "I Wish" was a great start, "Touch" was a nice track and then "O" was the biggest highlight. His collab with Big Boi (Never Gonna Let You Go (She's A Keepa)) was a good track, but after that the album get's kind of dull (except Slow Dancin). The debut is average but for younger audiences, there is quite of bit of cussing but no parental advisory sticker. This may appeal to a little bit older audiences. Rating 6.5 out of 10
