Dreamy, melodic, earthy, alterna-rock
The boys in the Choir do it again. Never ones to be afraid to write about anything, this album continues that trend. It asks the hard questions about faith, life, and love. Perhaps more stripped down then previous material, it still hasn't left my player and I got it in April.
Much better production
"Flap your wings", the previous album not available on iTunes, was ok. This renews my long-time affection for the Choir. My favorite album is probably Circle Slide, but this is becoming a close second. Marc Byrd (Common Children & God of Wonders) produced and played with them. What a fresh sound they have now. My two favorite songs are "How I wish I knew" & Mercy will prevail". Always candid and earnest, the Choir is my favorite band.
Music... smooth as Milk and Honey
The Choir have outdone themselves again, true to the Choir sound, yet a new earthy sound. Each song seems to flow together so seemlessly as if each song is just another added verse. Thank you Derri for remaining true to your roots...Your true fans are still out here & you have stirred my soul again.
