Crispy and Refreshing
There is an edgy crispness to the vocal that falls into perfect sync of the lyrical content. The words are intentional and stinging with sarcasm in tracks such as Wolfmouth, and Hard Love. The songs take a very acoustic instrument feel, and the banjo on some tracks really accents Mr. Sister's vocals appropriately. There is dark humor, and soul searching to bring forth honesty. There are moments asking for hope, and moments of just laments.
There are such moving moments reflecting on memories, and Mr. Sister brings you there...rather successfully through the music, particularly on 'Icy Chills'. Yes. I get the chills listening to that song.
"Graves" is very moving, as is the rest of the music.
Again.
The vocals and the melodic lines are just crisp and memorable, presenting the point. The poetry is beautiful.
The album 'O, Sinister Force', is intense, passionate, and delivers stark raw honesty which is refreshing.
Worth listening to the entire album, start to finish.
