Longtime members of the legendary New York collective Diggin In The Crates, O.C. and A.G. are veteran lyricists who came up in the Golden Era and have been been consistently putting out quality hip-hop since the early ‘90s. Though neither of them are full-fledged superstars, they each have classic records to their credit — O.C.'s breakout single "Time's Up" and A.G.'s early work with Showbiz — and both are still revered by serious students of the culture. While they've collaborated on tracks before, this is their first shot at a whole album together, and the result is some of their best work in years. Produced by Lord Finesse, Showbiz, Statik Selektah, and E Blaze, it is exactly what the game needs; deep writing, soulful beats, and genuine, gimmick-free rap music. Dope from start to finish, this is the perfect album for both jaded older heads and young listeners unimpressed with the status quo. Check out "Everyday Life," "Young With Style," and the reflective, goosebump-inducing gems "Reality Is" and "God's Gift."
