this ISN'T real ^_^
it is unreal how MENEW has mixed their unique sounds into complex and amazing works of art! and Lyle did a great job on the music vid, too!
Something different! Yay!
First off, I must explain the star system.... Five stars is appetite for destrucition. Best rock album ever. Period. One star is pretty self-explanitory.... So I give this one from MENEW four stars, meaning that I really admire this offering from Menew.... First heard about them a week ago when I saw them play on David Letterman, and they sounded fantastic. They were obviously live, which I really admire, and had that .... "sound"... that led me to iTunes, so here I am.....This offering has a ton of melody, yet has enough edge on the guitar to provide some urgency. Soaring vocals, thematic texturing, and some bite, and I'm one happy camper. Seems to have a familiar, accessible sound, but somehow ends up sounding unique at the same time, which is refreshing in today's cookie-cutter climate. I hope to hear more soon! (on another note, check out the newest testament and exodus---sorry, I'm a metalhead, couldn't resist) ahem... anyway, good music, WELL WORTH the five bucks to download....
