beautiful and soulful
This album is fabulous, I want everyone I know to listen to it. Mike's songwriting is so lucid and the music is poignant and soaring. Awesome record.
Offering
This group is just as beautiful live. I love musicians that have their own unique sound and timbre to their voice, like Leonard Cohen, Peter Gabriel, Sting and Paul Simon so too does Mike have his own gift. His voice is so rich and multi-layered that when you listen to it, it feels like soft velvet hammer kisses to your brain when you listen. His band is the perfect mix for his soulful poems to be set to music to.
Just Great
I honestly thought that Mike Mangione & The Union could not top Tenebrae, but they did. Offering has a few more upbeat songs and it's just a great mix of feel good jams and passion filled slow tunes. As the title of this review states, just great.
