I Disagree, Comrade Kitten!
We Have Band strikes your ears with that tympanic lustre you've looked for in music for the past three years, ever since the New Synth-Revolution began: the London groups, the Brooklyn bands, and most of all, the Parisian pack: hipster kids toting drum-machines and Rolands, loaded-up Vespas with 808's strapped to the bars, and a moog tossed wistfully over the shoulder like John F. Kennedy's blazer: these kids have style, and you'll find it in We Have Band. "Oh!" may not be their best single, granted (I'd leave that one up to "Hear It In the Cans" or their disco-destructo remix of "West End Girls"-- a true-trance dance-diamond) but it's still very good. And if you want to see the view from the top of the electro-ziggurat, get Late of the Pier's "Blueberry"-- like We Have Band, but with a hard-razor edge. Come on, Comrades, dance to the climax! This is the best music in years, you know it, you believe it, you'll feel it when you sweat it out in the club on Friday night, looking hip, of course.
