Two wicked EPs
I'm so glad these are being released together as one album! There is a lot of excellent material on here. It seems that lotus has a lot more going on musically than they had in Hammerstrike: better use of guitar harmony, the bass-lines are phatter, epic builds - all of which are characteristic of Lotus' live presence.
I recommend: Simian, Grayrigg, Marisol, 72 Hrs Awake, Cain & Able - All sick songs. The Turquoise remix is also phenominal.
Sounds like Ratatat
It sounds like they've been listening to some Ratatat during the creation of this album. I actually like it alot
Lotus will never disappoint you
I have bought almost everything this band put out there and it just keeps getting better. From Nomad to Hammerstrike, this band will have you dancing by the first song. I've seen them twice live; they are so clean, mind blowing, and so worth your money. None of my friends knew who Lotus was before meeting me and they are now all addicted to the sound.
