Great Band. Great Album.
The Slant's music has progressed into a genre of its own. Mixing indie rock with musical components of classic folk, Old North is an album that defines a new movement in modern rock. Buy this album. Not a single bad song on it. If you're reluctant try Coffin Maker's Son, Branches, or I'll Sing in the Mourning. Kudos to the band. You guys really have something here. My only hope is that the whole world gets to experience this music. I'd love to see this band on tour.
Really matured from last album to this one!
Last album, good - but leaps and bounds with this one. They have a wonderful rough indie sound that is very hard to catagorize. Get this album! You won't be dissappointed.

This new cd is an invitation to the warm underground sound of the Pittsburg Indi movement, this up and coming band brings an original clash between an old country sound and Rock & Roll that convokes good memories of old friends and of a past youth. -enjoy.
