Mike Seeger-Old Time Country Music
I remember buying this album in 1962 and playing it constantly. Mike Seeger had the musical ability as an instrumentalist and as a singer to capture the sound and spirit of these old time songs and arrangements. The only thing that disappointed me about this presentation is that the songs listed are not the ones that are played. For example, Frankie is not played when requested, but Lord Thomas is the substitution. How can I be sure what I am downloading is actually the song I requested. But the songs are still the songs, even if they are incorrectly titled. I someone could correct this, that would be great. This album is too good to have these discrepancies.
