Amazing album. Sykes sounds great!

Great Album

While die hard Thin Lizzy fans may have issues with John Sykes FIlling in for Philip, you just have to admit that this is a great album. Scott Gorham and John Sykes play together flawlessly. I still have the Live and Dangerous album and other than the fact that Philip isn't singing on this one, it still kicks some serious a*s. Are you Ready, Suicide, Black Rose and Rosalie are still great songs and John Sykes singing and playing on Still in Love with you is pretty incredible. While it's not Phil, and lets face it, theres just no way to replace him, John sings with the same deep down feeling that made these songs as great as they are. Take a listen, you won't be disappointed.

ALL HAIL

THIN LIZZY IN MY OPINION, WAS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED BANDS EVER. THEY WERE ONLY KNOWN FOR THE COUPLE OF HITS THAT MADE RADIO PLAY, BUT THEY WERE SO MUCH MORE. I SAW THEM LIVE WITH PHIL PLAY WITH HEADLINER QUEEN AND THEY ABSOLUTELY SMOKED THEM. NOT BEING A BIG QUEEN FAN ANYWAY. BUT SO MANY ALBUMS, SO MANY GRAT SONGS AND A VERY GOOD PLAYLIST HERE. JOHN DOES PHIL GREAT JUSTICE ON VOCALS, BUT THE GUITAR WORK IS JUST DAMN GOOD !!! A VERY GOOD LIVE ALBUM WITH VERY GOOD SONGS. MY FAVORITE THIN LIZZY SONG WOULD HAVE TO BE EMERALD WHICH DID NOT MAKE THIS RELEASE

Formed in the late '60s by Irish singer/songwriter/bassist Phil Lynott, Lizzy, though not the first band to do so, combined romanticized working-class sentiments with their ferocious, twin-lead guitar attack. As the band's creative force, Lynott was a more insightful and intelligent writer than...
