A Bargain of Scintillating Rock
Producer/Engineer/Musician/Songwriter Franz Pusch goes the extra mile with cohorts John Goodsall (Brand X, Fire Merchants), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Manic Eden, Dio, etc), Simon Wright (AC-DC, Dio), and Josh Schreiber in tow. Standout
songs are the accessible and soaring "Only Visions", the catchy "Money Back" and the thundering bass driven riff of "Chemical God".
Goodsall in particular shines all over this project with rich rhythms, alternately soaring and raging guitar solos against the rock steady
rhythm section of Wright and Sarzo. Wildcard tracks: "Hey, Jimi Hendrix" with its funky guitar and pleading lyrics and "The Time Traveller" with its unexpected reggae breakdown in the middle of some rich and raging guitar slabs. Franz' vocal explorations cover everything from hard lives in modern times to dada-esque whimsy. Recommended.
