Good music never lets you down!
This is the most beautiful song about a lost love that I've heard in a long time. Rocco's heart speaks with such a tender voice here, and the instruments serve only to deliver a delicate sound. I love how his voice was recorded...it comes so CLOSE to the listener, you think he sits in your living room. This song is pure beauty -- can't wait for the new album!
No Sophomore Slump!
One thing that always worries me about artists that get signed to a label is how much is the label going to mess with the artist to create "hits" over allowing their talent to shine through. Ironworks has done a great job with leaving RD & B do what he does best-write soulful lyrics & create fantastic music. Thank you for letting his talent shine through again! This first single to RD sophomore album again shows his ability to connect to listeners--something you can't get from the music factories. "Open Pages" is a great second look into RD's world. Added bonus of finally getting our hands on "I Trust You to Kill Me" and "Save Yourself"!!
