Honestly, I had not heard Jason Morant's work before I heard the pre-release for this album. I must say, there is no artist that I can think of to compare him to. Thoughtful lyrics sung with sincere emotion. Certainly an album that you want to listen to over and over. Even after the cd has ended, I can still hear the chorus to "Holy" flowing through my head, and trust me, that's a good thing! Try the music out and you are sure to become a fan as well!

Listen closely to the heart of these lyrics and you will find a deeper you. I hope everyone get's a chance to experience this amazing gift.

"Open" is truly a great title for Jason's latest offering. The lyrics are transparent and the music ecclectic; open to many different styles without sounding like six or seven different artists. In both his writing and vocal performance, he doesn't rehash the same idea over and over with just a different rhythm. I am the type that needs variety in both my music and my worship. The tracks weave in and out with great fluidity so they compliment one another as opposed to an erratic jumping from one feel to another. This is a project that truly has it's focus on Jason's relationship and adoration for God . A great CD.
