The Orient
The songs on this album are great for working out or just dancing around the house, which I personally love to do! My favorites are Canimism, Camel Ride, Smoothrabic, and Arabian Legend. Also, I thought I'd share something I learned in my art & culture class. Historically, the term Orient was used to refer to the countries we now know as the Middle East, such as Persia, Egypt, and India. But as travelers discovered more countries in Eastern Asia, the word began to define them as well. So the title of this album is correct, it's just that with centuries of travel and discoveries (and countries having different understandings of the meaning), the true definition of the Orient has been obscured. If anyone wants to learn more, Wikipedia has some great references, or look up some books on European travel in the 18th-19th centuries. Happy dancing!
Orient? More like middle eastern...
I think the naming for this album was pretty wrong..and the music really isn't so great..i mean, it's nothing new.. For me, at least.
i like it
Yes that is correct. Autum needs to brush up on geography. Orient does not mean just asian.
