Finally, I've been waiting to get my hands on this for while now
Solar fields released this record in CD format in early December and I've been checking iTunes every few days since then waiting for the digital release. I even wrote an e-mail to him personally to see when it might come out. And showing what a class act he is, he wrote back in 1 day with a kind thanks for asking and told me it would be out in a few weeks. And as I sit here at 7:30 in the morning, watching the sun make its way up the sky, slowly revealing a pristine covering of snow, I must say it was worth the wait. Perfect way to start the day.
The album sounds great, deeply layered, beautiful sounds bursting out of my speakers at every moment. And so far is looking to be set in my top five alongside Carbon Based Lifeforms album "Interloper". Thanks Magnus, keep up the good work.
HAPPY TO SEE A NEW RELEASE
I love this entire album. Just like the albums in the past, Solar Fields has left nothing to be desired. I love every song on this one.I highly recommend downloading and turn up the volume. I am an artist and it is very inspiring while working on a painting.
Magnus would compose the soundtrack to my life
After the somewhat inconsistent and disappointing remix of Movements, this is a welcome return to form for Solar Fields. Although its actually a compilation of offcuts as well as some new material, its a very fine effort. Few people can match Magnus's ability to craft gorgeous, lush, organic soundscapes that build, soar and inspire - a perfect example is the epic track 'Unite'. Get yourself a pair of high-end speakers or headphones and blast this track until you feel ready to save the world...
