NICE ALBUM...

I LIKE THIS ALBUM AND THE VOCALS OF THE GIRL, GREAT VIBE AND PRODUCTIONS, REMIND ME OF SOME TRACKS OF ARNO ELIAS

Listening more, listening more

Carmen Rizzo is the master of surprise. Just when it seems he's lost himself in a blur of producing other artists, scoring documentaries, and remixing major artists like Blue October and Coldplay, he delivers a brand-new artist album containing 11 brand-new tracks. I have followed his work since he first remixed Conjure One, and was thrilled with his first solo release (The Lost Art of the Idle Moment). Needless to say, I was very excited to learn of this new record. It's a worthy competitor to Idle, although a bit less diverse (but streamlined is good too). Former Idle vocalists Jem and Kate Havnevik re-appear on this new record, and we see the inclusion of two lesser-known vocalists as well: Norwegian dreamy-electro duo The Deer Tracks, and moody UK-based ambient popsters Blueneck. Overall the sound production is mostly flawless, crystal clear, and full of dreamy little staccato beeps and clicks which make listening to this album an incredible experience on good headphones. Mandatory comparison to other artists: It sounds like a hybrid of Delerium's moodier works, Faithless' moderate dance tracks, some of Pole Folder's anthems, and I even hear a little bit of Mum in there. Highlights for me included Jem's Ecouter, featuring a very catchy chorus; Falling Into Place, the album's most driving dance track; and Sirens, where Kate Havnevik lets go of reality and sings of a fantasy world full of sirens and dark-but-lovely dreaming. Highly recommended for, well, anyone.

Can't Stop Listening!

This cd plays on a loop at all times in my car and in my mind. Not only is it a fun upbeat danceable album, but it also takes you on a journey of relaxation. Carmen is an innovator! His soulful ways are infused into everything he creates. I really don’t recall the last time I could play my favorite songs on repeat like I do with this one! I love all them all, but 4 of my favorites: Sirens, Écouter, Fantastique, & Falling into Place
