Fantastic musicianship, BUT.......
I have been looking forward to this album for quite some time and it is phenomenal. My only issue with it is the fact that Blue Rondo a la Turk is NOT Blue Rondo a la Turk. It is, in fact, a repeat of Keyboard Improv #1, the song that follows. I am hopeful that iTunes can clear up this confusion and soon, as this is just an amazing album by 3 AMAZING musicians.
Wonderful live performance
I was a huge fan of fusion music in the 70's and 80's. To my ear, the genre has been relatively dull and uninspired for the most part in recent years. Phillips, Saisse, and Palladino are a revelation and a breath of fresh air for me. The level of musicianship has never been exceeded, IMO. The three musicians are extremely sensitive to the material and each other. Highly recommended purchase. Did I mention that Pino's playing is absolute perfection, as usual?
Please fix Blue Rondo!
Yes, the track Blue Rondo a la Turk is incorrect. It is the same audio as Keyboard Improv #1. It has yet to be fixed.
