Really fantastic
I'm not sure that I'm qualified to review classical music, but here 'goes: This is really a fantastic album. By all means do not miss the performance of Canon and Gigue...played on period pieces and at a tempo that'll blow your socks off...you have really not appreciated what a wonderfully complex and really exciting (yes, exciting...forget every rendition you've ever fell asleep to as your best friend walked down the aisle) work this is until you've heard this. While testing an Apple Hi-Fi in a local Apple store, a friend and I put in this version of Canon and turned it up...within about 30 seconds we had a crowd of 5 people standing around saying, "Wow! I've never heard it played like that. I love it, what is it?" The rest of the album is also excellent and worth your hard-earned cash. Enjoy.
