Pacifica surpasses all expectations
I have been an Amadan fan for quite some time now, and I believe in this new album they have truly come into their own sound. The unique blend of their fiddle, banjo, didgeridoo, and even spoons on occasion lends to a new level of musicality that surpasses your typical Irish pub band. With Pacifica, Amadan has proven they are a force to be reckoned with as both their lyrics and their instruments have seamlessly intertwined to create absolutely beautiful music while never losing it's rock edge. Each of their albums has featured a decreasing number of folk songs and an increasing number of originals, which is very much the case in this new cd. The original songs astound, and the inclusion of Leaving of Liverpool, a song that they have done before, truly exhibits just how far they have come and how much talent they hold. This cd is truly phenomenal.
The Best Celtic/Nautical themed band
Amadan is a fantastic Portland based band. Eric, Kevin, and the guys put on a great show. This album showcases there incredable talent and strong songwriting ablity.
Great album from a great band
Every track from start to finish is great on this record! I really love the progressive edge Amadan brings to the music on this record. I can't wait to see what they have in store next!
