Criminal live?

When I bought this from Itunes, I am pretty usre the (live) listing wasn't here. Even if it was, I think I've been ripped off. Where's the studio recording? It makes no sense whatsoever. One track is unavailable?

Better than its reputation

The mixing of Chrissie’s voice with the guitar on “Never Do That” is one of those Pretenders’ moments that kills me (think “Day after Day”, “Jealous Dogs” or “Cuban Slide”). Chrissie’s voice fits perfectly with the reggae moments and both her rants and optimism work for me on this one.

Very underrated

Pay no mind to the nonsense All Music Guide review. "Packed" may not be the Pretenders' strongest album, but I'm pretty sure it's my favorite. It'd be my favorite if for nothing else than the "demand the impossible" bridge on "When Will I See You." But "Sense of Purpose," "Let's Make a Pact," "Never Do That," "Millionaires, "Criminal" and "Hold a Candle to This" all stand up very well next to any of the greatest hits or standout album tracks off the early albums. If you're looking for Chrissie Hynde & Co. to rock out on every track, you'd best look elsewhere. But if you appreciate great melodies and well-constructed songs that reward repeated listens, "Packed" is stacked.

Over the years, the Pretenders became a vehicle for guitarist/vocalist Chrissie Hynde's songwriting, yet it was a full-fledged band when it was formed in the late '70s. With their initial records, the group crossed the bridge between punk/new wave and Top 40 pop more than any other band, recording a...
