iTunes Review
One of the most intense dissections of game ever recorded, Paid in Full is spoken not from the perspective of a witness but as willing participant. The moments captured on this classic reflects a mindset later emulated by Nas, Biggie, 2Pac and the rest. Rakim reveals potential dangers unseen by the naked eye. Scarier, Ra demonstrates the multiple ways an MC can play themselves with an economy of words that, when stitched together, present an epic narrative worthy of a Martin Scorsese movie. "Move the Crowd," "I Ain't No Joke," "I Know You Got Soul," and "As My Rhyme Goes On" are all amazingly cinematic. An absolute classic.

An Album To Remember
What's there more to say about Paid In Full? Rakim lives up to his nickname as "The God" of Hip-hop with his lyrical skills that nobody will ever match up to, especially since the rappers today rap about how much money they have on almost every single song. Eric B. with his DJ skills are as great as they can get. This album is a milestone that will be recognized for generations to come and this should be showed on how a great album should sound like.
Real Hip Hop
I wish everyone in the world could hear this album, then they would know what real hip hop sounds like
The best, hands down.
I originally bought this cd in '86, i was 15 years old and it blew me away. I'm 35 now, and it still has the same effect on me. The lyrics still hold 20 years later. The beats - still fresh. Rakim's voice, the best of all time, deep, smooth and meaningful. If your wondering whether or not you should buy this entire album, stop thinking and just do it. You won't regret it.
