iTunes Review
The Fame is in many ways the perfect soundtrack for 2008, a year in which celebrity culture, club culture, and fashion culture achieved absolute fusion. The album’s philosophy is summarized on its title track: “I can’t help myself / I’m addicted to a life of material / It’s some kind of joke / I’m obsessively opposed to the typical.” Lady GaGa looks to the icy, synthesized funk of the ‘80s for inspiration, and the album’s unapologetic (and unironic) celebration of consumerism is a throwback to the Reagan years. Lady GaGa has explained that the album is about “how anyone can feel famous,” and in a strange way its nihilistic obsession with fame and wealth is a compelling reaction to a crumbling American economy. Unlike similar records by Britney Spears or Katy Perry, Lady GaGa’s background as a DJ validates her songs. “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich,” “Money Honey,” and “Starstruck” are grounded in the hypnotic funk of classic disco. Lady GaGa reaches for the careless hedonism of Studio 54 and while The Fame isn't likely to be an enduring album, there's something oddly comforting about an album that wants only to speak to the needs of the present moment.

AMAZING ALBUM
Okay, after seeing this girl LIVE tonight I absolutly have to write a review of this album. Just Dance- Awesome song. Perfect choice for lead single. Its catchy & the USA needs to really get with it and realize its greatness. LoveGame- Catchy tune. One of the best tracks on the album. The hook is always stuck in your head. Paparazzi- The official 3rd USA single, this is a little slower but still a dance track. Good song, but not a stand out. Poker Face- My absolutle favorite song on the record. Its catchy, has a hot beat, & the vocals are on point. DOWNLOAD NOW. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)- Good song, but forgetable. Beautiful Dirty Rich- SO CATCHY. Great song & the bridge is everything Top 40 stands for. The Fame- Title track, very good. Great dance song & will definitly be huge overseas. Money Honey- This jam is constantly in my head. That M-O-N-E-Y so sexxyyyy Starstruck- Only available on the US edition. Very good & will be huge. Flo-Rida's wrap is also very good. Boys Boys Boys- I think this track should've been the albums opener. It really gets the party started. Paper Gangsta- Nice piano track. Its a grower, but I really enjoy it. Brown Eyes- Easily the worst track on the album. It gets very repetitive towards the end. I Like It Rough- Awesome song, sick beat, but not a standout. Summerboy- GREAT SONG. Its totally in a different direction than the rest of the album & is the best driving song on the cd. Disco Heaven- Nice throwback joint. All in all I give this album a solid 9/10 Standout tracks: Poker Face, LoveGame, Starstruck, Boys Boys Boys, Summerboy
