Epic Album
"Paper City" reflects a coupling of discord and harmony in a way few albums can; it seems to follow a journey, from basking in the comfortable and familiar in "The Love of All Things" to pushing toward unrecognizable and diverse styles in songs such as "Cobra Movement" and "Theft in DFW (Stop It Now)." It's lush, cinematic soundscapes effortlessly flow from sounding like a hundred miles of open road into streets and alleys dimmed by city skyline shadows. If you can imagine that time before a storm - that eerie, tense silence - this is the perfect time to hit play on The Non's new CD, "Paper City."
Wonderful Local Band
I saw The Non play in a local coffee shop recently. They have a unique sound that's almost like a structured jam session. The bass lines rushed over the crowd and the guitar lines weave in and out perfectly. It's a different sound, but it's an amazing redefinition of music.
Good Stuff
I recently started listening to these guys after a friend burnt this CD for me. Im a big fan of instrumentals and these guys have some really catchy riffs and bass lines. Great stuff to just load a bowl and smoke to its so relaxing but at the same time full of energy. would def. recommend Boohjam, Washu B, Cobra Movement and Tofu Fire.
