@ the insensitive Redneck

Please don't talk about things you have no clue about. Obviously you aren't a musician, i mean "slow riffs" really?! Anyways 5 stars all the way, Hour of Penance does it again!

The new album is better than the last....

I love Death metal... but i want to know why someone who doesn't understand or like death metal would write a review? Hour of Penance isn't some band you stumble upon, i mean their not on the radio. So someone searched for this band just to talk smack... I hate rap!!! but i'm not go on lil flipper, or whatever they like to go by, and write a review on how much i hate it. All i'm saying is if you are going to write a review at least be helpful towards the people who are actually going to buy the album. Anyways, i thought the vocals didn't have as much punch as The Vile Conception... still awsome, i still can't believe the singer is the drummer for Fleshgod Apocalypse.. which is also another really amazing band.. Paradogma is a little better on the balance between drums and guitars, the drums in The Vile Conception are a little over powering compared to the rest of the band... if you like some intense death metal with alot of blast beats, this is the album for you.

Thanks

Best yet!

I honestly think this new album tops the vile conception and that is no easy feat. The band has gotten even tighter since then and the skill level of these musicians obviously could not be higher. Oh and by the way, insensitive redneck, nice fail back there dude. You obviously have no idea what kind of talent it takes to make a record like this and will likely never understand. Now go run along and listen to Hatebreed and leave the real metal to real men.

Influenced at first by a combination of black and death metal, Hour of Penance would soon move away from those styles, and — being influenced by Cannibal Corpse — opt for a more up front and pummeling style. Their first demo hit the scene in 2000, and was followed by their first album, Disturbance, in 2003. By this time they had laid the groundwork by playing the Swedish death metal festival at...
