Listen to it in the dark with a candle burning . . .
This is a really interesting and engaging album that keeps revealing itself the more you listen to it. It is dark and moody and layered with sounds I've never quite heard before, even from the more obscure noise groups and electronic musicians out there. The strangest part about this record is that it dominates a room when you put it on but every one who hears it has a slightly different take on it. It breathes and takes up space, yet depending on your mood and the way in which you listen to it, you can hear many different things going on. It can be angry and pretty and depressing and exciting and happy all at once . . .
But essentially is a new sounding electronically informed rock record. If you like dense layers, atmosphere, glitchy beats, crazy synth sounds, psychedelic guitars, and even free jazz horns you'll like this.
If you enjoy Pink Floyd, My Bloody Valentine, and Autechre . . . you'll like this.
THIS BAND HAS MY 4TH GRADE TEACHER IN IT!!!!!!!
