Album Review
Including 18 of his highest charting hits for the Dot label in the '50s and early '60s, this is easily the best basic Boone collection. It doesn't include his hit covers of "At My Front Door" and Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally" and "Tutti Frutti," which is perhaps just as well for all concerned.

Pat Boone's Greatest Hits
This album uses the original art work of "Pat's Greatest Hits" (DOT DLP 3071) and includes all of the songs and more from that vinyl recording with one great exception. Not included is the title theme from the movie "Anastasia" starring Ingrid Bergman. Pat's popular recording of this song seems to not be available on any digital reissues of his work.
Great Album With One Ick!!
Short of a Box Set, this is probably the best collection from one of the 50's best crooners that you will find. My problem with this album (hence the Ick in the title), is the last track. 'Speedy Gonzales' is, in my opinion, one of the most embarrassingly racist songs to come out of the Rock & Roll era. "Slap some mud on the adobe"....."They're giving green stamps with Tequila"?! The fact that the original voice of Speedy, Mel Blanc lent his voice to this blight on the Rock & Roll landscape makes it worse. My suggestion?...... Download the album and then delete the last song. The rest of the album is definitely worth it!!
Still awesome
I listened to this song when I was little..when it first came out and my mom and dad LOVED it and loved Pat Boone. I found it on itunes the other day by accident and bought it...man...it takes me back. My parents are now in their mid seventys and they were JUST KIDS then. The recording of it is so real...so in your face. Just good music recorded well, written well and sung by a master. Excellent.
