AN ORIGINAL ALBUM!
I stumbled upon this band on itunes and I must say IT ROCKS! It's refreshing to hear an ORIGINAL artist and voice on the music scene these days. This album has something to say... and it's angry! Favorite tracks are DREAM and JACKIE.
Pattern of Pain Trecherie
Check your volume before listening to this CD. This woman is angry and doesn’t mince words. According to her lyrics, she’s disillusioned, numb, neglected, hurt, and going nowhere with nothing, but this one-woman storm is a feminist force on pulverizing guitar. This is an eclectic collection I would describe as Industrial-post-punk-metal-electronica. It contains ten songs that bristle with raw guitars, pulsing bass and harrowing piano, accentuated with industrial beats and a lone voice of devastation. Standout tracks include “The Kind That Numbs” with its driving beat, dizzying layered guitars, synth and blustery vocals. With its spare piano and percussion, “Dream” is more hopeful and minimal, tender, but still somewhat melancholy. “Jackie” features ominous piano chords, and devastating lyrics. “Belong” has an infectious chorus and is an upbeat way to end the album. I've had this CD in my player non-stop for the last week and hope to hear more from Trecherie!
