iTunes Review
Hailing from Patterson Houses projects in the Bronx, Percee P grew up alongside hip-hop, honing his formidable mic skills the old-fashioned way; rocking in the park and battling on the street. Known for his furiously quick flow, intricately layered rhyme schemes, and devastating punchlines, he was/is a true MC's MC. His first official single was released way back in 1988, and he continued to drop 12-inches and showstealing cameo verses throughout the ‘90s and into the new millennium. Though highly respected by fellow rappers and fans around the world, he never got around to putting out a full-length until 2007, joining forces with LA's Stones Throw collective and in-house super-producer Madlib. On the aptly titled Perseverance, the Rhyme Inspector proves that he hasn't lost a step. Whether flipping old-school boasting ("Legendary Lyricist"), vivid storytelling ("Ghetto Rhyme Stories"), or an ode to real hip-hop ("The Lady Behind Me"), Percee shines atop Madlib's frenetic drumbreaks and finely chopped samples. With more than 20 years in the game, Percee P is still one of the best to ever do it, and this album is the long-awaited proof.

THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!
This is the kind of release that should be getting mad shine! Pseudo-underground, no talent garbage has watered down "real" hip hop for years now. Don't be fooled, this is the Legendary Rhyme Inspectah Percee P. This dude was on the mic when it was cool to call hip hop rap. Why are you still reading this? HIT DOWNLOAD NOW - peace
REALLY real!
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one waiting for this album to drop. This man is so hard. When I saw him in Chi, he was hustlin, selling his own album. That's what its all about. These rappers now don't even know what it is like to hustle and thats all they tend to rap about. Percee is really really real. This album is a must own for anyone that has knowledge of or appreciates real hip-hop, not that phoney 50cent in the club B.S.....and to think that scrub is the one that made a song called WANKSTA....it must have been a self-defining moment. Thank you Percee P, thank you PBW, thank you Madlib, LONG LIVE STONES THROW! I'm out.
Amazing
Percee P is the man. This is the most amazing album I have ever heard. I am listening to it right know. Been waiting for this album for three years and it did not let me down. The legend percee P finally dropped his first album and it is sure to be a classic. I have listened to many real hip-hop artists including Hieroglyphics, People Under the Stairs, A tribe called quest, Blackalicious, Immortal Technique, Aesop Rock and many others but this album exceeds them all. Not a single bad track and Percee P's fast flowin rhymes and guests including Aesop Rock make this album perfect. Gave me chills. Grap it right now. You will not be dissapointed.
