Bruce.
Bruce deserved the Oscar. End of story.
Bruce qualified, Neil didn't
Bruce's song was written for the movie. Neil's song was part of the soundtrack and existed originally on another recording. I agree Neil's song was very poignant, but it does not qualify for an Oscar.
Neil Young just broke my heart....
One of the most BEAUTIFUL songs EVER = Philadelphia by Neil Young. All of the other songs are great, too. Overall it's just a great soundtrack. Neil Young drives it home, though. The last scene wrecked me. So powerful.
