One Record That Will Send Shivers Down Your Spine

V=Vocals G=Guitar D=Drums F=Final Score 1. Intro V: None G: 6 D: 6 F: 6 I actually liked this track being an opening track, I would usually give opening or intro tracks like 2 or 3’s but not this one. It’s just basically mysterious guitar and smooth, slow drums. At the beginning you hear airplane doors close. In the middle you hear a woman talking over the plane’s intercom telling everyone they are about to take off. At the end you hear the plane take off and that’s where the record begins. 2. The Diary of Jane V: 8 G: 9 D: 9 F: 8.5 This was the first single of this record. This song is the one that got me hooked on Breaking Benjamin. If this is the only song that you heard from “Phobia” and you think it’s just okay, then you’re missing out by not buying the record. This isn’t the best song on the record but it certainly is a powerful one. The strong parts in this song are the verses with the guitar and little drumming. 3. Breath V: 8 G: 9.5 D: 9 F: 9 Recently it has been announced that this is the second single off “Phobia”. This was the second song I heard off the record and I liked it better than “The Diary of Jane” because it had more depth. The guitar in the beginning is so much different from everything else; it pulls you in wondering what the rest of the song is going to be like. The strong parts in this song are the choruses. 4. You V: 10 G: 9 D: 8.5 F: 9.2 The first review on iTunes for the clean version of “Phobia” got me to look into this song because the author listed the song as one of their favorites. It’s one of my all time favorite on this album now. The song starts off with guitar, then the vocals, then soft drums. The transition into the chorus from the verse is amazing. The strong parts of this song is at the end of the chorus where he says “You”. 5. Evil Angel V: 8.5 G: 9.5 D: 9 F: 9 This was the third song I heard from “Phobia”. I liked it better than both “The Diary of Jane” and “Breath” which are the two singles. This song is beautiful and dark. The drums in the beginning are some rolls about to get the song going. The guitar that comes in is amazing, it sounds like Breaking Benjamin’s old stuff and some higher riffs at the end of it. The chorus is very, very good. The guitar in the chorus is amazing as well; definitely the strongest part of the song is the chorus. 6. Until The End V: 9.5 G: 9 D: 9.5 F: 9.4 This is an amazing song, the first time I heard it I thought it was definitely one of the best Breaking Benjamin’s ever done. The opening to the song has amazing guitar and the best drums. The verse is so catchy and the chorus is what got me hooked. They drop the F bomb in this song once but I think the second or third time I heard this song I realized where it was when I really listened for it. The strongest part of this song is the chorus. 7. Dance With The Devil V: 8 G: 10 D: 8 F: 8.7 The beginning of this song is very catchy and then the guitars kick in for a few seconds and then the verse begins. I love the guitar in this song everywhere especially the bridge where everything stops and the guitar picks it up quickly again with a nice riff. At the end of the verse has great vocals and guitar. The strongest part of this song is the bridge and the end. 8. Topless V: 8 G: 9 D: 8.5 F: 8.5 This is the darkest song on the entire album. The vocals stay at the same dark tone most of the song. The guitar and the drums in the beginning are really great. The guitar going into the bridge is dark, so are the vocals as well…very dark. They say the F bomb 6 times in this song and it’s very clear. They say it twice every chorus and there are 3 choruses. 9. Here We Are V: 8.5 G: 8.5 D: 8 F: 8.3 The guitar in the beginning is pretty good. The part in this song that really sticks out to me is the chorus. The chorus is the strongest part in the song without a doubt but I still like this song. The drums in the bridge go perfectly together before the guitar solo; I couldn’t tell what was what. I love the guitar solo in this song. 10. Unknown Soldier V: 10 G: 9 D: 8.5 F: 9.2 The song starts with the sounds of a helicopter. The vocals in the verse are very nicely done but they’re amazing in the chorus, best vocals in the album. This song became one of my favorite because of the chorus when he says “So I can leave this world tonight”. The chorus is the best part of the song. The guitar solo in the bridge is great too. This is the only song on the album that doesn’t the title in the song except the intro and outro. 11. Had Enough V: 9 G: 9.5 D: 8.5 F: 9 The guitar in the beginning is the awesome. Just amazing riffs. The verse is pretty powerful. The chorus is strong with great guitar. They say b***ard in every chorus and the F bomb in every chorus but I’m still not sure if that’s the F bomb, you can’t really tell. The strongest part of this song is the beginning or the chorus. 12. You Fight Me V: 8 G: 9.5 D: 8 F: 8.5 The beginning is just beautiful with piano and an R&B sound. The verses have beautiful vocals and very beautiful guitar. The chorus is what you expect from Breaking Benjamin; it’s very powerful and strong. I love how the song goes from slow and mysterious to fast and strong in a second sometimes. The strongest part of the song is probably the verses. 13. Outro V: None G: 8 D: 6 F: 7 A 7 is a very, very high score for an outro. The guitar in this ending is amazing and starts off like the intro but gets very powerful and high. You hear the woman’s voice in this one again but I can’t tell what she’s saying. At the end, the doors of the plane slam shut again like the beginning of the intro.

AMAZING! BEST BB ALBUM TO DATE!

Breaking Benjamin have done it once again with Phobia, providing incredible lyrics and soaring vocals. There is something for everyone on this album. More softer songs like "Here We Are" and "You" and tons of rocking out songs like "Until the End" "Topless" "Had Enough" and "The Diary of Jane." Every Breaking Benjamin album has brought it to the next step, but Phobia surpasses them all. While older fans may enjoy Saturate because of it's hard core rock songs or "We Are Not Alone" for a more polished album, "Phobia" brings it home with it's dark attitude and maturity. Every songs shows a different side of the band. If it be Ben's dark and haunting lyrics and vocals in "Dance with the Devil" or his emotional and polished vox in "Evil Angel." "Phobia" is full of hits, "Breath" and "Dance With the Devil" standing out the most. Both will catch any listeners attention and drag them in for more. Basically "Phobia" is simply amazing and this is only the beginning. Breaking Benjamin is going to be huge, so watch out for them! AND BUY PHOBIA!

Again?

Well, all i can say is Breaking Benjamin has done it once again. If u liked the first two albums and the EP then u should like this one. Its lyrics are a little darker but he melodies are better. My personal favorites are Topless and Breath. All of them are great but those two have to be the best
