iTunes Review
By the mid-‘70s Led Zeppelin had established themselves as the decade’s megastars. It took nearly two years to follow up Houses of the Holy with this ambitious double album in 1975 that included songs the band had been holding back alongside challenging new material that expanded the band’s musical vocabulary. “Kashmir” is eight and a half minutes of pure middle-eastern tension. “Houses of the Holy,” “Trampled Under Foot,” “Sick Again,” “Custard Pie” and “The Rover” are prime Jimmy Page derived Led Zeppelin, thick with complex guitar riffs that play against John Bonham’s aggressive sense of timekeeping, making for a band that simultaneously crush and groove. The epic 11-minute “In My Time of Dying” brings the group back to its blues roots with additional funk, while “Boogie With Stu,” “Black Country Woman,” “Down by the Seaside” and the acoustic interlude “Bron-Y-Aur” are among the most relaxed songs in the Zeppelin catalog. “In the Light” is Zeppelin’s idea of a ballad, soft, eerie, soothing with a circuitous instrumental crescendo. A double album that was considered by some to be a slightly bloated affair, Physical Graffiti now stands as a full-angle view of this secretive, enigmatic and legendary band.

That 70's Rock
by nasty_riff_girlthis is the album you should play in your car when your girlfriend is in there. we know all you people who were teenagers in the 70's were doing some pretty naughty things while you played this baby on your turn table. :) great album.

by geezer1This is not only the best Zep album, but one of the best albums of all time.
Zep covered ground that no one dared to go and this album has it all. From gut wrenching blues, hard rock, boogie, folk, world, Zep covers it all. I dare anyone to listen to Ten Years Gone and not tear up. It's one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Kasmir is amazing, In My Time Of Dying just kicks, The Wanton Song is devastating and that only the begining. Buy the enitre album and go on a musical journey only Zep could pull off.

by NewrulesI am admittedly not an "objective" music critic or casual LZ listener who can give a review that is relatively unbiased. This review comes from a very longtime LZ fan who considers the band his favorite all time. So... in my considered but biased opinion, I strongly recommend that if someone were thinking about purchasing one, complete LZ album, Physical Graffiti is the one. It really reflects the many sides of the band. It has the obvious "hits" played on the radio but many, many deeper cuts too that only someone who owns the album in its entirety would ever get to appreciate. I urge everyone to listen to the entire playlist all the way through; you will be glad that you did. Take note of Custard Pie, In the Light, Down by the Seaside, Night Flight and Ten Years Gone (my favorite LZ song of their entire catalogue).
Enjoy.
