Fantastic

Dustin's piano music has another element to it that most piano music doesn't have. It's right up there with Brian Crain's "Piano Opus," Ludovico Einuadi's "Divenire" and Gonzales' "Solo Piano".

Simply, elegantly beautiful in every sense.

As a classical pianist, I can honestly say that this is some of the most tastefully written classical solo piano work available right now. I would disagree with iTunes labeling this music New Age. While there are definitely some modern progressions and sounds, Mr. O'Halloran's influences are deeply rooted in a more classical vein. Sometimes, his music sounds similar to Michael Nyman, particularly his soundtrack to "The Piano." Other times, it almost sounds like a more contemporary Satie work, very sparsely arranged and played. What I think I like most is the recording's "sound." It's obvious that this was not recorded on a $250,000 Busendorfor piano. Some of the notes are ever-so-slightly out of tune. Others actually have a delayed hammer, making them almost sound echoed. All of the aformentioned qualities along with this sound result in a fresh, unique and utterly haunting set of 11 stories, brilliantly played by their composer.

Amazing, Beautiful Music

Im 17, and I heard this music on the Marie Antionette Soundtrack. Opus 36 is one of my favorite songs ever and it is listed under the soundtrack, but not here. Trust me, this music is beautiful and great for falling asleep to at night. I love classical music much more now - Listen to this album!
