Billy Harvey Rocks!

This guy will probably fall through the cracks, miss out on all the kudos, and be grossly under appreciated. Names like Ted Hawkins, Leadbelly, Johnny Hartman and NRBQ come to mind. The artists that are of a higher intelligence and art form that never get their due. Billy Harvey is that guy at the party that picks up some one elses guitar and blows the room away. Billy Harvey is also the roommate who is sitting on the couch when you get home from class and you know he's going to do better than you in life, without even trying. I hate guys like that, but I always end up loving their art. If he comes to your town, see him. If a friend asks, tell them. If you've read this far, for the love of God, just buy it! Be the first kid on the block to own this record, it's great! Check out his web site too... it's the coolest site on the planet.

Simple and exciting

This album is almost a awesome as the Aritst web site. Like a Boy is a folky song that hooks you right from the start. Dope Wings is much more bass driven and fast paced... it Rocks. Glad to see that Frozen through is the most downloaded... as it is not nearly the best on the Album.. if you like that, get the whole album. Very happy with Billy Harvey's music.

We seen Billy live, he opened for Bob Schneider in Tampa, the show blew us away. Billy's amp went out and he didn't miss a beat.... He's had us hooked fromt he start. Check out Bob's CD, I'm Good Now, Billy plays guitar and does back up vocals. Buy both albums!

Singer/songwriter Billy Harvey was born in Evanston, IL, though he moved several times during his early years, finally ending up in Chicago where he attended high school. After graduating, he moved to San Francisco hoping to start a band. While living out of a VW van he joined a band called Flame, which was together for six years and released two records.
