You have to give it five stars simply because it has some of the best rock music ever written! If you enjoy biting lyrics that center on truth and songs that will knock your socks off, listen to: Ping Pong Over the Abyss, It's So Sad, Renaissance Man, and Falling Down a Hole. How Can You Love and A Different King of Light (which may sum of the 77's) are great also!

I had this album on cassette when it came out back in the day and am so glad to see it and other 77s music on iTUNES!
This album is a little new wave, a little rock, a little weird and completely awesome!
Trail Blazing Christian New Wave
Finally on iTunes! When the 77's debut LP was released in 1983 it blazed the trail for Christian rock to enter the New Wave style. Charlie Peacock produced it, and while recorded in California, it's pure British New Wave. Renaissance Man is by far the standout cut. I picked up the LP back in '83 for about a buck in a discount bin in a Christian book and record store w/o ever hearing it first. And it has become a collectors item (the store owner didn't know what he had). Not wanting to pay $50 to $100 for a CD version (extremely rare) I've been waiting for iTunes. When I first played it I was struck by the totally natural and unprecedented New Wave sounds.
