Syd Straw needs to be listened to.
This album, not unlike her others, will appeal to those who take the time to listen. The value in production is shown through the integrity of the sound. Honestly, it may fail listeners of uninteresting carbon copy music but it will interest, as will her other albums, those people who expect and respect variety and creativity in the music they choose to listen to.
Amazing
These songs are amazing. The previews aren't that good but the whole songs are great. I suggest buying the whole album.
Unheralded
If you can find War and Peace, buy it along with this. If you like Neil Young, you'll like Syd Straw. Round out with some Golden Palominos and you're good to go. Too bad she doesn't put out more music...
