Album Review

Aqueduct, who is David Terry with guests, offers up catchy indie pop on the Pistols at Dawn EP out on Barsuk Records. "Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights" starts the 18-minute EP off with a striking similarity to Kleenex Girl Wonder in its pop hooks with big lo-fi beats, keyboard lines and slightly off vocals. The rest of Pistols at Dawn continues with pop layers, guitars and keyboards set against interesting rhythms, calling up the influences of Built to Spill and the Flaming Lips. Many parts are sprinkled on top of one another — sometimes it can all be a bit much, which buries the main thought, but, considering the short time span of the EP and catchy vocal melody lines, Pistols at Dawn by Aqueduct makes for a decent listen.

Decent

I was suprised no one had written a review before, so I decided to. Personally, they're not one of my favorites, but "Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights" is a pretty good song, you should give it a listen.
