Album Review

Lost Pieces is a set of miscellaneous tracks that Steve Roach recorded from 1988 through 1992. Some of the pieces were for various artist collections; others were extra tracks from recording sessions. In the liner notes, Roach discusses how he had lost or forgotten about some of the compositions. Upon finding and listening to the tape, he is also able to recall and feel the emotions that inspired the music. Roach gathered these somewhat disjointed pieces and sequenced them to form some thematic integrity. It is through the inconsistency that he achieves consistency.

Superlative

Some of the best Steve Roach you will ever experience. From another world, like a beautiful blissful dream haze. Very soft smooth ethreal layers, like walking on clouds and floating in the cosmos.
