They're still Architecture In Helsinki.

Let me begin by saying, first off, that BANDS CHANGE-- of course this album is different than its predecessors. What band wants to produce the same album twice? It is obvious that Architecture In Helsinki just wants to have fun, and they hold nothing back on this collection of energetic tracks. It's a breath of fresh air, and while I do prefer their previous albums, it's nice to see that AIH can take a more "dance-y" route while still retaining their unique sense of silliness and fun. Quirky and exhuberant, this album isn't meant to be taken too seriously-- it's just a great one to dance to and simply have FUN. Highlights: Red Turned White, Hold Music, Like It or Not, Debbie, Nothing's Wrong, Same Old Innocence. P.S. If you ever get the chance to see AIH live, don't pass it up-- their shows are always full of energy and they really know how to get a crowd moving!

A Rhythm!!

I just found my feet again, and they move all crazy like

Oh, stop bitching

Seriously people, bands change their sounds becuase if they kept doing the same thing over and over we would get bored. Personally, I love this album, the vocals are terrible. But for some unknown reason they really don't seem to matter that much. There are some lyricly and vocally awesome parts like Kelly singing in "Nothing's Wrong," but other than that you're really not going to find the vocal masterpieces that are "In case we die" and "Fingers Crossed." But, "Places like this" is chock full of catchy rythms that I have had stuck in my head since the first day I listened to this album. Mind you, I hated most of these songs when I first heard the album, but they kinda grew on me. I really don't like "feather in a baseball cap" I don't think it really has any redeeming qualities. HOWEVER I believe this is one of the greatest new releases by a band I have heard in a long while. I think it's worth the money BUT if you value vocals much more than anything else in a song, this may not be the album for you. P.S. to that one guy who said that the vocals were amazing in "Heart it races," what the hell? The vocals in that song sound like little children singing it, that doesn't make it a bad song, acctually it's one of my favorites, but still... Not the greatest vocals you will ever hear.

The Australian indie pop ensemble Architecture in Helsinki hail from Fitzroy, Melbourne, and have counted multi-instrumentalists Cameron Bird, James Cecil, Gus Franklin, Isobel Knowles, Jamie Mildren, Sam Perry, Tara Shackell, and Kellie Sutherland among their ranks.
