2009’s Playing for Change: Songs Around the World introduced audiences to producer Mark Johnson’s spirited multimedia project of the same name, a loosely affiliated collection of musicians from all over the planet covering rock & roll standards in an attempt to connect the world through one of its most revered and reliable mediums, music. 2010’s Playing for Change Live chronicles the global phenomenon's 2009 world tour with a ten-track CD and a DVD that includes the 90-minute film On the Road with the Playing for Change Band.

Let's Come Togeather

I wish I was there at this event. I would love to see all of them in person. I have been following PFC since it was passed around on utube and there is where I found the website. I was one of many who waited for the release of the first album and am here right now to buy the live album. If I were to travel I would want to find where they were playing and camp out and wait for tickets. As the person before me stated that it brings the beat to the feet and gets you moving. I wish there was a way to get them to come to Montana (Billings). You will not go wrong with this purchase and will enjoy it until the burn in your legs can take no more. Music can bring us togeather and bring down the walls between all of us.

Beautiful & Talented Artists

Typically I don't write reviews, but their music is so fun, energetic, and a true art form. My husband is not much of the dancing type, but PFC puts some spunk in him and gets him moving! When I run or am on the beach, I make sure I play their music without headphones to bring people together and enjoy the music! Serve yourself with some inspiring talent and purchase this album for you and a friend !

A multi-media charity art project, Playing for Change was created in 2004 by producer/engineers Mark Johnson and Enzo Buono. Hoping to break down musical and social barriers and promote a peaceful worldview, the duo traveled around the globe recording street musicians playing the same songs with the idea of creating a pastiche of the recordings. The project's first single, a cover of Ben E. King's classic "Stand by Me," featuring the Santa Monica street performer Roger Ridely, became a YouTube sensation....
