Album Review

When Omarion got his own installment in Sony's Playlist series, he had two solo albums to his credit, and it's not as if O and 21 are jam-packed with early-2000s R&B classics, so it is filled out with a couple highlights from his B2K days ("Bump, Bump, Bump," "Uh Huh") and remixes (the "Jiggy Joint Radio Remix" of "O," the "Mr. Mig Mixshow Extended Mix" of "Ice Box"). The four charting hits — "I'm Tryna," "O," "Touch," and "Ice Box" — from the two albums are included, as are a few of the stronger cuts not released as singles, like "Drop That Heater" and "Midnight." A very viable alternate to picking up those two albums.

Pretty Good.

This compilation from Omarion is pretty good. However, it is missing a few tracks, and could do without a few that are there. The last two songs can be ditched, as well as "Touch", and "Drop That Heater" (that song is pretty much all repetition). In place of those, they should've put "Growing Pains", "Made For TV", "Beg For It", and either "Girlfriend" from his compilation with Bow Wow, or "I Wish" from his first album. But it is a fair compilation from the "Prince of Pop". GREAT JOB O!!!

His second album, 21, followed in late 2006 and was kicked off by an excellent Timbaland production, the Top 20 single "Ice Box." His next move was Face Off, a full-length collaboration with Bow Wow released in December 2007. Following...
