Metric shows their range
All of these songs were great as they were originally released, and are just as good if not better stripped down to Emily Haines' vocals and a guitar. Take the time to listen to the lyrics. Appreciate her voice. This is a great album for its own merit, as well as a great companion piece to "Fantasies." Taken together, "Plug In, Plug Out" & "Fantasies" show that Metric has the ability to produce music that nears pop, that can also be broken down and appreciated acoustically because of the stellar song-writing and vocals.
I think I'm in love with Emily Haines
Metric prove that they can do whatever they want with this acoustic EP, with beautiful renderings of the highlights from their album "Fantasies." Emily Haines's voice has that chill-inducing quality that just makes my spine tingle, even more so on this recording...there's something so beautiful and vulnerable. And of course the songs themselves are amazing too. Metric is the best.
LOVE METRiC
Metric makes the best sounds ive ever heard. Its like listening to a rollacoaster! the music catches you off gaurd and suddenly changes direction. Its great.
