iTunes Review

The music on Natasha Bedingfield’s third album, Pocketful of Sunshine, falls exactly at the place where adult-contemporary rock and club music meet. “Pocketful of Sunshine” and “Angel” are reminiscent of Kelly Clarkson, were she more influenced by R&B than rock ’n’ roll. While rock theatrics have helped propel Bedingfield to the upper echelon of the pop charts, the best songs on Pocketful of Sunshine dig deeper into her soul influences. “Who Knows?” “Happy” and “Pirate Bones” are smart, subtly funky tracks that would be more at home next to Joss Stone than they would Avril Lavigne. In the end, it is Bedingfield’s ingratiating hooks that will attract the most fans. “Love Like This” and “Put Your Arms Around Me” are as catchy as Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body,” and with the help of like-minded artists like Maroon 5’s Adam Levine (who appears in a duet on “Say It Again”) Bedingfield’s music should have no trouble finding its way out of the club and onto the sunny day radio playlists of pop fans everywhere.

FIRST REVIEW!!!

This album is really good. Most of the songs have nice beats, and they are sung perfectly. I would highly recommend this album... 1. Put Your Arms Around Me--5/10--I don't really like this. Too slow. Kinda. 2. Pocketful of Sunshine--10/10--FABULOUS. I can see why they named the album after this song. It is very catchy, and upbeat too. 3. Happy--9/10--Catchy, but a little slow. 4. Love Like This--8/10--This song is more of a R&B thing. It's okay. 5. Piece of Your Heart--10/10--Very catchy. I LOVE this song. 6. Soulmate--9/10--The chorus is great. It's also a little touching. 7. Say It Again--10/10--Brilliant. Another great song. 8. Angel--10/10--Another R&B like song, but good this time. 9. Backyard--7/10--Okay. A little childish. 10. Freckles--9/10--Great moral!!! I like this song. It has single potential. 11. Who Knows?--10/10--It's kinda weird, but it is good. 12. Pirate Bones--10/10--Another great song. Very, VERY catchy. 13.Not Givin' Up--10/10--Upbeat, and very fast paced. I like this.

Yeah...really good!

This album is fantastic! Her lyrics are original and full of a savor that is all her own. Put this on your iPod and you really will have a pocket full of sunshine! It's great to see that there are still artists out there that are not afraid of conveying messages of good in their music! Give it up for Natasha!

Pocketful of NB's Talent

Natasha sounds like P!nk as you listen closely to her singing, and they're both talented artists. In this album, I love listening to her songs EXCEPT tracks 9, 11, 12 & 13. Great job, Natasha!
