Either you are going to "get it" or you are not. This is a creative take on a song done with a wink and a nod and tongue planted firmly in cheek. The negative reviews reinforce exactly what the other side likes about this song! I like it!

Wikipedia defines a cover as "a new rendition (performance or recording) of a previously recorded, commercially released song." Therefore, one cannot expect a cover to be a doppelganger of the original. In fact, it would be favorable if the cover took the song to new places or reimagined the song in question. Orba Squara's cover of Poker Face does that, and more. It transforms a predictable and lackluster pop song into a work of art! As a fellow musician I can say that Lady Gaga is probably not as "disgusted" as many other reviewers would have you believe. She is probably honored a) that another musician covered her song and b) that they did it so gracefully.
