Customer Reviews

Not the original recordings.

"I like Chopin" is Gazebo's greatest hit, but "Masterpiece" and "Lunatic" are also prettty well-known among the disco and gay audiences. Unfortunately, these songs in this compilation are not the original 1982 songs but rather re-recordings of those gems. It's up to the listener to decide, but for those Gazebo purists (and there are more out there than you would think), rerecordings of masterpiece 80's songs are most definitely NOT kosher. If, like me, you can't live without the originals, then go to Amazon.com and order them from a wide variety of cd procurers. If, on the other hand, you don't mind not having the originals but instead are happy with a remake by the original artist, then these songs are more than adequate. Gazebo is a great performer, and a certified stud (just look at his mug) despite the years passing like they do, and any music fan has to listen to his songs to see how wonderful 80's Europop was. Long Live Gazebo.
