O.O It has Oboe in it!
This, once again, is true music! It is the REAL DEAL! I love this album and think it has some really good oboe parts in the songs. I recommend this to oboe players who are working on tone quality and anyone else who loves REAL music. Classical is the way to go!
Poulenc forever...
I have to admit that the only reason I purchased this album was so I could get my hands on his Clarinet Sonata( I play the clarinet). And by "purchased" I mean the sneaky little tactics of itunes that in the end made me download all these works by poulenc. But I have to thank them very much for giving me the opportunity to explore the wit and lyricism of Poulenc for now I am totally absorbed into his music and more French composers. All songs I recommend ( except maybe the elegy for horn...egh) but I also suggest purchasing his Oboe Sonata and maybe some of his Piano works as well...btw,his chamber music is more preferable for me. Oh and 10 stars ********** for his Flute Sonata especially movement III.
