When Jurassic Five signed to a major label, it didn't signal the end of an era, it meant a new life and a new direction for this L.A. crew. Their growth, both musical and personal, is evident on Power of Numbers. "If You Only Knew" shows what J-5 does so well-voices rhyming in tandem and solo-espousing knowledge and superior content superimposed over a fluttering piper. Big things were on their mind on songs such as "Freedom," "Remember His Name," and "I Am Somebody." A strong follow-up to their debut, Quality Control.

Beats are Tight,music is tighter

EH! this is the most awesome variety of music. AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL <-------you shall buy it if not the whole album... DON'T STEAL MUSIC! ARTISTS LIKE THIS WOULDN'T BE AROUND IF YOU STOLE THEIR MUSIC. IT IS LIKE THEIR CHILD.

Great Hip-Hop Material

One of my fave hip-hop groups out there in the US of A. Their dope sound is original, catchy, and fresh, creating tracks that combine innovative beats and scratches from DJ Nu Mark and Cut Chemist. Lyrical content is more than your average hip-hop music, an earful for your ears and your brain. Each MC brings a fresh vibe and flow, and put together, explain why they are a great rap group. Individiually, each MC has a style of flow, way of rapping and a distinct voice, like they have their own "instruments." Combined they spit some of the dopest hooks ever. Apart, they bring the rap in a special manner. Whenever one of the MC's does a song outside the J5 arena, I always enjoy hearing it because their talent as rappers alone elevate a track, even if it sounds mediocre. My fave is Chali 2NA, his deep, baritone, cut and paste rapping has alot of power in it. Do a search on iTunes for any of these MC's, and wherever you see their name in a track, its guarenteed to be better than average.

What's Golden

On most of VH1's shows, they play the instrumentals for 'What's Golden'. I had been looking for this songs for years...and I found it! I am really excited. 'What's Golden' is a must have. As for the rest of the album, it is quality hip hop and definetely worth your time and money.
