Mega Kudos to RVN
Welcome to i-Tunes, RVN! This sophmore project from the RVN Band shows great maturity musically as Philip Derber leads the rest of the band into an ecclectic collection of songs that are sure to appeal to a wide ranged audience. My favorite track on the disc is "He's My Savior", lead vocals skillfully provided by Cecily McCulloch. Cecily's smooth vocal renderings, contrasting with Philip's Southern Rock grit, make RVN's music both relevant and penetrating to the younger listener's heart. "Live It Up" seems to be a hit with just about everyone with it's driving guitar leads and positive message. Overall, it's a noted improvement over their freshman project "Escape" and a sure sign of bigger and better things to come. If you like a variety on your playlists and CDs, then this album is definitely one to add to your collection. RVN has dug in their heels with this project and they are letting us know that they are going to be around for a long time to come.
