Exceptional

"Pray without ceasing"... this quote from Thessalonians captures the tone to her album and the whole of Anne Marie's work. It is obviously and expression of her own prayer. She is an artist who has honed an exceptional ability at a craft and turned it into one that lifts others into a sacred place and centers them in the very presence of God. I have used her arrangements as the conduit for prayer and reflection in several faith settings - my own prayer, large retreats at Boston College and in evening reflection groups run in small settings. The gentle fluidity of her music creates an atmosphere ripe for an encounter with all that is sacred.

Peaceful and spirit-filled

This collection has been my "go-to" for planning retreats, prayer experiences , and simply for creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. There is a beautiful depth to this music, yet such simplicity as well. The music draws the listener more deeply into prayer. In my work with educators, I often choose one of Anne Marie's pieces to create a prayerful space, to slow down from the busyness. My two favorite pieces from this collection - "Lord of All Hopefulness" and "Prayer of St. Francis" have not only assisted me in my work, but have accompanied me on my own journey. I selected these pieces to be part of "labor mixes" as I birthed my son and daughter. Truly Anne Marie has a gift to connect us with the Holy and all that is sacred in life.
